For my last week of photos, I decided to shoot something that required less photo shopping. I took some more classic, clean portraits of Courtney in order to show diversity in my photography. Overall, I like how they turned out and I plan on continuing to do similar style pictures in the future.
My favorite aspect of the images is the shallow depth of field. I like how there is a sharp contrast between the soft background and the clear image of Courtney. Also, I like the muted, natural color scheme as well as the black and white versions. Eventually, I would like to be able to get an even more blurred background against an even clearer image. I ordered a new 50mm 1.8 lens which, due to the lower aperture, will hopefully help with this. The lens that I am currently using can only go down to about 4.5.
As I previously stated, I hope to continue with my photography (even thought this is my last class!) and hopefully one day work as a professional. I have truly enjoyed my four years of photo classes and feel fortunate to have found something that I love. 🙂
